Which sector do you specialize in? In recent years, I have primarily been developing in the field of residential architecture and interior design, from the concept design to their realization, as well as managing the processes and individual teams involved. Recently, I have also been working on public projects, which was set as a personal goal, and I am very glad to have this opportunity.

What inspires you? Inspiration can hide in every moment, action, person, or place. However, in order to see it, you need the right mindset and an open mind, otherwise, you may miss opportunities for inspiration simply due to a shifted focus or a different perspective. Personally, inspiration comes from challenging tasks that spark curiosity, as well as from good references in all fields of art and design. I am inspired by the different, the exceptional, those that carry meaning and added value.

What is your favourite part of the job? In every project, there comes a moment when everything falls into place after a period of research and uncertainty. This is the 'Aha!' moment, when you just know you’re heading in the right direction, feeling even more inspired than when you started." My next favorite moment is when the implementation begins, and the challenging part comes—assembling all the pieces: investors, engineers, contractors, supervisors, and manufacturers. This part is extremely challenging and interesting, but that's what makes it so exciting. Being able to communicate with each of these parties in their own language, because the language of the investor is completely different from the language of the on-site installer. Being able to make them believe in you, respect you, and be satisfied with your work—this is a rare combination of skills that develops and enriches you more than any other moment in our profession.

What is sustainability to you? Sustainability is a very relevant topic, and its importance is clear to everyone. What is important to me is that all of us—architects and clients alike—should strive to think in a timeless way. We need to be current, but also keep an eye on the future, on the legacy we leave with the vision, materials, and systems we integrate into the mark we leave behind.

What is your definition of great design? I am a follower of the "less is more" concept, which means that I value simplicity in design. Elegant and timeless design is simple, thoughtful, and functional. In an architectural context, I would also add the added value for the inhabitants, because that’s what makes the difference between mediocrity and excellence.

Which is your favourite building? I couldn't choose just one building that I consider my favorite, created by some great architect—there are so many of them, and I could always point to many. But if I had to pick one in this category, I would talk about the one I consider my "school"—a single-family building of 1500 sq.m. that I worked on for over 3 years. From the design development, through the groundbreaking, to the construction documentation and its implementation during the building process, over 130 details, 120 weekly site visits, supervision, and interior realization. This building will remain the most deeply etched in my mind and heart, because it has given me more than anyone or anything else in this profession.

Where would the world be without architects? I would illustrate the answer to this question as a map without landmarks, or a dream without a vision. A vague, fragmented haze of possibilities that never fully.   Tell us about a project that you dream of working on. I dream of socially significant and high-quality projects. I dream of social architecture with an exceptional positive impact. Spaces that inspire, develop, guide, enrich society, and contribute to improving the environment.
