Asking The Team – Iliyan Angelov
While arch. Iliyan Angelov has been with us for a few years now, he remains one of SGI’s youngest talents. Over the past three years, Iliyan has impressed us with his knack for concept design and his drive to stay on top of every project he takes on. His passion for architecture is undeniable, which is why we were eager to sit down and hear his thoughts on our field. Here is what he answered to our questions.
What inspires you?
Music, beauty and dreams.
What is your favourite part of the job?
Each part of my job is my favorite. I love architecture and everything related to it.
What is sustainability to you?
I believe that sustainability is a higher form of synergy, where everything is operating perfectly in sync... Sustainability is much more than reusable energy, eco materials and circular economy: it is a societal state of mind, while the aforementioned are simply some of its many manifestations.
What is your definition of great design?
Authenticity. Authenticity. Authenticity.
Which is your favourite building?
That’s easy – the last one.
Where would the world be without architects?
I am going to answer this question with another question: "Where would the world be without dreams?"

Every new project is a surprise to me and I hope it continues to be this way.

SGI Architects & Masterplanners Continues Support for Young Talent at K&D Cup 2024
For the fourth consecutive year, SGI Architects & Masterplanners played a key role in organizing the K&D Cup, part of the International Tennis Federation Men's calendar. Held from August 12th to 18th at the "Diana" Tennis Club in Sofia, the tournament features a $15,000 prize fund.
