SOFTUNI BUDITEL
Sofia, Bulgaria
BUDITEL questions the conventional school blueprint to shape an environment that actively supports 21st-century learning. The project treats spatial design as a critical tool for building future-facing learning experiences. At the core of the transformation is a heart-centred approach: common areas were reimagined from transitional spaces into the heart of the school’s learning zones. Corridors were redesigned as adaptable learning environments—encouraging openness, sharing, and a stronger sense of safety through visibility and interaction. The concept is further strengthened through the STREAM evolution, expanding the traditional STEM focus into STREAM by formally integrating Reading and Art alongside Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. This deliberate mix supports creativity, literacy, and more holistic problem-solving—helping shape minds that are ready for the future.
