Sofia Airport T3

SGI participated in the competition for Sofia Airport’s Terminal 3 as the local partner in a joint venture between Manchester Airport Group (MAG) and Beijing Construction Engineering Group (BCEG), with Woods Bagot as the concept architect. Commissioned by the Bulgarian government, the project aimed to enhance the country's air transportation sector through the development of a new Terminal 3 and the refurbishment of Terminals 1 and 2.

SGI contributed to the interior design concept and conducted a feasibility study aligned with the approved building floorplans prepared by the lead architects, supporting the vision for a modernized airport. The project sought to expand Sofia Airport’s capacity and improve passenger experience, setting the stage for future growth in air travel.

The presented project is an alternative vision of the concept.
