Kinder Garden Slavia
Sofia, Bulgaria
When designing this kindergarten, our main priority was to create a welcoming environment — one that feels like home and brings comfort. A key element of the concept is the graphic symbol of a house, integrated throughout the building in subtle and colourful accents. This idea is reinforced through façade solutions featuring two types of plaster textures, as well as colour coding for each individual entrance—strengthening the child-friendly character and the sense of belonging. Rather than following the traditional approach of filling kindergartens with every possible colour, our goal was to create a simple, clear, and functional building that serves as a calm canvas and a stage for children’s laughter and creativity. In this way, the children themselves become the leading “colour” in the architecture.
