Aerotechnic Aircraft Maintenance Complex

Sofia, Bulgaria

Situated adjacent to Sofia Airport, the Aerotechnic Aircraft Maintenance Complex is poised to become a pivotal facility in Eastern Europe's aviation infrastructure. Designed by SGI Architects, the complex encompasses over 18,000 square meters of built-up area, featuring two expansive hangars, administrative offices, workshops, and storage facilities.

A standout feature of the design is the 80-meter column-free span within the primary hangar, enabling the simultaneous servicing of up to five A321 or B737 aircraft. This structural achievement sets a new benchmark for operational efficiency and capacity in the region.

The project is being executed in phases, with the initial stage focusing on the construction of the main hangars and support facilities, followed by the development of additional office spaces. Strategically located just outside the airport's security zone, the complex ensures optimal airside access while maintaining comprehensive vehicular access for logistics and emergency services.
