SGI Seeking New Senior Architect
SGI Architects & Masterplanners is a well-established architectural practice operating across Bulgaria and Central and Eastern Europe. We design spaces that combine functionality, sustainability, and sensitivity to context—ranging from individual buildings and interiors to comprehensive urban planning solutions.
We are currently seeking a Senior Architect to join our team in Sofia and take a leading role in the design and coordination of a wide range of projects, including residential and public buildings, hospitality, retail, and urban developments. We believe architecture is not only about form, but about creating meaningful environments that support people and communities.
Location: Sofia, Bulgaria Practice: SGI Architects & Masterplanners Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading and coordinating architectural work across all phases of a project
- Liaising with clients and partners on project timelines, budgets, and scopes
- Preparing proposals, calculating fees, and defining services
- Supporting the team in shaping project strategies and ensuring successful implementation
- Developing design details that align with the overall concept and maintaining high quality standards
- Managing documentation and site supervision where required
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Architecture
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience
- Strong knowledge of Bulgarian planning and construction regulations
- Proficiency in ArchiCAD or Revit
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Ability to take responsibility and make informed decisions
- Interest in sustainable design and architectural innovation
- Excellent command of Bulgarian and English
