Vitosha Art

Sofia, Bulgaria

Vitosha Art is an investment project with commercial, office, and residential functions. The development is part of a key area of the Hladilnika neighborhood. It is also a part of the Transport and Communication Scheme for the transformation of the former industrial zone into a mixed-use one. The project is one of the largest developments of its kind in Sofia, affecting both the public and private sectors.   The conceptual design by SGI presents a modern urban scheme with clean functional connections and a dynamic spatial solution. The project makes the most of the location, creating an internal public space and introducing the pedestrian flow between Yujen and Loven Park through the property. This solution enriches both the office and the residential functions by creating a park environment and adding diverse services, shops, and restaurants.

The composition of the buildings in the complex is directed around four main vertical volumes, which enhance the natural organization between the spaces. The residential buildings are organized so that each of them has access to an outdoor space, landscaped gardens, and recreation areas.

The office buildings have convenient and quick access from the main transport arteries and provide a noise barrier from Cherni Vrah Boulevard for the residential area.

The design is based on balanced proportions and clean lines. The main accents are both on the ground levels and at the tops of the tall bodies – elements that form the urban silhouette and create a visual benchmark for the territory.

SGI’s project for the Vitosha Art complex presents a modern vision for the urban rhythm of home and office day life and successfully enriches the urban environment.
